Another plant from our recent weekend in the mountains: Crepis capillaris (Asteraceae), an introduced weed in this country. Note the gland-tipped hairs on the bracts and peduncle. I had already seen it last year but had no fruits for secure identification. Now that I have identified it I wonder why I didn't recognise it, as it also occurs in Germany, and it was the first species of its genus that I collected as a student. Perhaps I just didn't expect it here, and then I was blinded by the hope that it might be something more interesting. Well, from now on I will expect and recognise it.
